Fantastic gite with great hosts

My wife and I stayed early July for 4 nights. Temperature mid to high 20s but gite has thick stone walls so was relatively cool. Fan was supplied to help cool the upstairs sleeping area.
Navigating the upstairs with big oak beams at night in darkness was bit of a challenge but that’s the charm.
Downstairs simple kitchen with breakfast table and a sitting area with tv (with most free English channels) was always cool and provided an escape from the heat when required. We had our breakfast next to the gite in a private garden with table and chairs and also used this a couple of times to bbq (bbq was provided). This was really relaxing and added to our holiday experience. All we had to do is supply or restock the charcoal.
Our hosts Sue a Steve are brilliant. They gave lots of tips what to do and see in the area and we’re very helpful with whatever you needed. Sue provided an afternoon wine tour visiting 3 vineyards in the Saumur area. As we didn’t have to drive it was a great experience and with Sue’s knowledge of the area it also helped us to plan the rest of our stay.
We also used the pool and games room which was all very good and relaxing.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommended it to anyone as a base to explore the Saumur area.

A lovely retreat
​
We stayed at the Wine Store at La Coyere for a week and couldn't want for anything more. The accommodation is well appointed with comfortable bed and a well appointed kitchen area - even a dishwasher! There are games and DVDs available, English Freesat TV, WiFi and a lovely pool to mention a few things. The local towns are a short drive away with good supermarkets and Noyant had a very good market on the Friday. Steve and Suzanne who look after the properties are the perfect hosts, providing information when needed but also letting us chill as much as we wanted. We would definitely consider a return visit!

Had a great stay in the Cottage
​
Had a great stay at the Cottage. Suzanne and Steve were very welcoming and helpful and told us all the best places to go see locally. We got plenty of use out of the Solar Heated Swimming Pool, which was great as it was scorching hot. Our little Dog also enjoyed herself with lots of space to wonder around. We will definitely be booking to return next year. Thanks for a great holiday.

Perfect few days in France
​
We stayed for 5 days in the beautiful wine store. Steve and Suzanne were the ideal hosts and made us feel welcome. The room was lovely and the area is great. We enjoyed time around the pool, and used some of the games in the barn. Overall a perfect few days away in a lovely region of france.. Managed to watch the Tour de France as it went through Saumur nearby. Looking for dates to book for next year already... See you next year.

Wonderful Gite
​
We stayed a week in The Wine Store, which was wonderful. For two people, there was everything you needed. The gites are set in a peaceful hamlet, however they are not far from plenty of lovely places to visit. Whilst there, we enjoyed a game of darts, in a tastefully converted barn and a game of petanque on a court in a shaded area. The swimming pool was great to cool off in, after a hot day exploring local lakes, chateaux, parks and gardens. One of the barns has been made into a cool place to watch dvd's, listen to music or just enjoy a glass of the local wine. We were welcomed at La Coyere by Sue and Steve, who were fantastic hosts, ensuring that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We would definitely recommend La Coyere to anyone who wants a peaceful, countryside location. The only downside for us was that we had only booked one week and not two!
